The invention of UML goes back in the late twentieth century rather to be specific in the year 1997.In that year the Object Management Group came up with the design of Unified Modelling Language (UML). The UML is a standard design language for creating, or constructing ,documenting, specifying , visualizing the products and the ventures of a computer software .This language brings about a collaboration in the notations of various software developers who once submitted their contributions to OMG.UML basics also gives a standard for technical exchange of various computer software oriented design and models. By using the UML basics diagrams its very easier for software developers to make creative projects and bring innovation and make them useful. The most useful basics UML diagrams include use case diagram, sequence diagram, class diagram, state chart diagram, component diagram, deployment diagram, activity diagram. In case of UML 2 the UML basics diagram are divided into two categories-structure diagrams and behaviour diagrams. In the UML basics the purpose of the class diagram is to show the various types of models present within the system. The UML basics have in general these given types namely a class, an interface, a data type and a component. It is very important to understand the UML basics before going to UML 2 for the basics diagrams give an idea of the building blocks of all structural diagrams which includes component or structural diagrams. The UML basics specifications don't need attributes and operation visibility that can be displayed on the class diagram. One of the important and useful features of UML basics structure diagram is its new internal structure notations. It helps developers and users to show how a classifier or a class is internally composed .There are two important reasons for understanding and learning the UML basics class diagrams are it gives the static structure of the classifiers in the system and not only that the diagrams give the basic notations for the all other structures recommended by UML. The UML basics diagram are not only useful for the developers as they think the class diagrams are specially developed for them but business analyses and other team members of a developing team can also find it useful. The UML basics diagrams are widely used in visual modelling.
The UML basics diagrams depict a unit of functionality provided by the systems. The main function of these diagrams is to help developers visualize the basic functional and technical requirements of a computer system. The UML basics diagram show how different entities are related to each other which can be also said as they show the static structure of the system. UML basics diagrams are generally designed for object related software's and have restricted uses on programming side. By using these basics various internal parts of the computer system are represented so that software can be easily developed by relating to that. Various notations and syntax are used in these diagrams which allow the identification of default values assigned to various attributes. |
